Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station

This Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station experience offers an attraction in Cornwall like no other, a real family day out that will have you talking for weeks.

Goonhilly is situated on the Lizard Peninsula and is 7 miles from Helston. Follow the B3293 Helston to St Keverne Road.

The Minack Theatre

The Minack Theatre Cornwall The Minack Theatre in Cornwall is the achievement of a lifelong passion and hands on work of art into the Cornish cliff face.  Rowena Cade set out in 1931 to achieve this spectacular open air theatre experience, that has to be seen to be believed.

Situated at Porthcurno the Theatre offers free parking and is approximately an hours drive from our lodges.

Now celebrating over 75 years of the Minack Theatre and gardens admission rates are;

Performances from visiting theatre groups to the Minack Theatre also vary from year to year, whether it is th Shakesperian experience you love or the more contemporary interpretations of classical stories like Robin Hood you will not be dissappointed.

National Maritime Museum

National Maritime museum CornwallSailing is a popular pastime, hobby and even a full time sport to a lot of enthusiasts in the UK and all over the world, in fact those of you that enjoy anything that has to do with a maritime life will love the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth, Cornwall.

New for this year is the underwater tidal zone and a journey through in the Cornwall galleries.

Located at the Discovery Quay, Falmouth the attraction is opened daily between 10am and 5pm.  Cornish folk have and always will be natural sea folk and a look back through the history of Cornish Maritime is a must if you are a resident here in Cornwall or if you are visiting for the very first time.

Admission to the attraction starts at £7.50 for adults, £6.00 for Seniors and £5.00 for NUS, ISU card holders and the same price for children aged 6 - 15yrs, children 5 and under get in free.

Bear in mind that the National Maritime Museum is a charity and they even offer a family ticket (2 adults and upto 3 children) admission price of £20.00.

There are even more discounted entry fees for educational groups.

The Cornish Cyder Farm

What can you do at the Cornish Cyder Farm?

Farm Shop
There are 40 fruit based products to try before you buy.

Restaurant
Savour the homemade lunch including traditional clotted cream in the restaraunt and courtyard.

Tractor Rides
Enjoy a tractor ride through the orchards of apples and other fruit.

Guided Tour
I suspect this was the bit that would stand out the most for the cider lovers.  Take the tour through the "Press House", Bottlery, Jam Kitchen Cyder Museum, Brandy Distillery and Cellars.

Opening Times
The Cornish Cyder Farm is open all year round and open until 8pm during July and August.

Cornwall`s Crealy Great Adventure Park

Crealy Adventure Park CornwallCornwall Crealy Adventure Park is a family day out within easy drive of your accommodation, we will provide all of the directions you need, the same as the other destinations you choose to visit while you stay with us, we will provide all you need to plan your visit to Crealy Adventure Park.

So what is this Crealy Adventure Park all about?
Well, the park is currently seperated into 6 realms for you to discover they are;

Adventure Realm
Drop Slides, Aerial Walkways, Cableways and much more.

Animal Realm
Assisted by qualified "Animal Wranglers" and seasonal volunteers, the Animal Realm is unique in that you can purchase the usual pets alongside pets like Sheep, Goats and Calves.

Wild Water Realm
Exactly as it sounds with a Log Flume and Viking Warior Ship.

Enchanted Realm
For the younger visitors (under fives) the Enchanted Realm holds a miniature Village alongside storytime characters, book and hold a childrens party and much more.

Natural Realm
Covering over a hundred acres of beautiful Cornish countryside the Natural Realm gives visitors the opportunity to explore the park while you ride the "Safari Train".

Heritage Realm
The Heritage Realm holds "Heavy Horse" parades, where we can meet Shire Horses and their Foals, the Realm also holds Falconry displays this year too.

There is much more to do than the brief descriptions listed here, but that`s part of the adventure!

The park is open between early April through to early November and closed between the winter months except to guests staying on-site.

Prices range from:During high Summer add an extra £1.00 to your entry fee.

Users of the park with disabilities pay the individual fee, although if you are in need of a full time carer, your carer will not pay.

Crealy Adventure Park in Cornwall is half way between St Columb and Wadebridge along the A39 (approximately 10mins drive from the Lodges) located at Tredinnick.

DairyLand Farmworld

DairyLand FarmworldDairyLand Farmworld is Britains leading farm attraction, available in all weathers it covers over 12,000 sq ft.

120 cows are milked daily! this year you can pay for one days entry and have unlimited entry for the rest of the week, that`s seven days for the price of one.

You can find DairyLand Farmworld just off the A3058 4 miles outside of Newquay, which is about a 10 minute drive away from our lodges. Lappa Valley Steam Railway

Lappa Valley Steam RailwayLappa Valley Steam Railway was established in 1974 and has three linked railways of different size that travel around the valley through a wooded valley and around the boating lake it stretches to more than three miles long.
